Virginia Louise Young Tippen

After getting married in 1975, we moved 19 times in first 5 years of marriage. So un/repacking. Children and all the activities that go with that, somewhere in there I managed an Associates degree and have worked since the youngest went to first grade. All of my and husband's parents have died, leaving us "orphans". I volunteer at Brazosport Museum of Natural Science, rated in the Top 10 Texas Museums by Fromers Guides. I won a photography contest put on by the local Chamber of Commerce and had a couple of the pictures published on the local map. Still enjoy pictures(U might remember me with a camera!) Now that girls have left the nest, I sew/craft in my spare time. I am Episcopal Order of Daughters of the King. (dokdot.org). My husband is now retired from Dow Chemical, so we worry about the markets and how it effects our fund, such as it is. LOL

Physical Science class, was an eye opener. Fruit Flies had sex! Bacterial rubbings that grew stuff in goo, surprisingly the banisters were cleaner than our desks.
Senior year we lost a classmate to Viet Nam. We had a Major league pitcher come from our class. I rode a scooter, til my helmet got stolen. Riding the bus in the dark to school.
Those crazy checked tops for the pep squad, and papering the players houses.
Orange is still a favorite color.
In our large class of over 800, I was the 3rd to last name called the night we graduated...finally!
