Originally from Chicago, IL. Lived in Houston, TX only during my high school years - haven't had the opportunity to return since! Earned my BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. I now live and raise my family in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I worked in the aerospace industry for 8 years as an Analytical Engineer, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). I also worked in the engineering software industry for 18 years as a Software Developer and Product Manager. I now work for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory outside Pittsburgh, using CFD modeling methods to design nuclear-powered propulsion systems for the US Navy. I've always been quite involved in soccer, where I coached kids' teams for 13 years, served on our community soccer board, and now I do TV play-by-play for our high school team. I also teach Sunday School for high school kids and sing tenor in our UMC choir. I run a little every day outdoors, and haven't missed a run since Dec/24/2002.

Some of my fondest memories at Westchester include playing on the baseball team for a couple years, and also playing intramural basketball early in the morning before school. My hoop team was really weak. One game we lost 66-2, and I scored our team's only two points late in the game. After I hit my shot from the baseline, the crowd watching the slaughter gave me a huge ovation. I also really enjoyed PE classes where we played "bomb". My nickname at Westchester was Traz - to some degree it still is today!
