Art, look forward to seeing you and Jill at the 50th. We have 150 signed up as of today. We have 100 classmates and 50 spouses. I found this picture of you taken at the 40th reunion. I enjoyed reading your story. I know others will also. If you haven’t sent it to Rick Swisher, please do so he can add it to the reunion yearbook. The group working on the reunion are Denise Weber, Chris Cligrow, Susie Katopodis, Lynne Henrion, Marsha Sweeton, Gregg Anderson, Sherry McCoy (all maiden names). We look forward to seeing you next month. Melissa Sweeton Thorne (just retired from Edward Jones where my husband just retired from and our daughter has taken over the office he built of family of friends).

When I agreed to help with our 50th reunion, I never expected to enjoy it as much as I have. As a group of us past High School journalists reunited, we decided to dust off our skills by creating a memory yearbook for our upcoming gathering. It's been heartwarming to read about the exciting lives our classmates have led since our graduation in May '74.
Please take a moment to write a 250-word bio and send it to us at reunionwhs74@gmail.com so we can include you in the yearbook. Additionally, we welcome any stories you'd like to share about your time at WHS; we'll do our best to feature them in the book. Pictures are also welcome.
So far, we've gathered 293 valid email addresses out of the 852 graduates. NOT GREAT, but we are counting on YOU to help. If you know any fellow '74 grads, please send us their email addresses so we can inform them about the reunion. Hello, Class of 1974 Westchester, High School

As you should have already heard, it’s been 50 years since we graduated high school.

Hard to believe, but true.

The reunion committee has been hard at work planning a special evening for us to reunite, tell lies, and reconnect. The date is October 5th, 2024 in West Houston. Details on the site with ticket information.

As mentioned in an earlier email there are a few things we would like each and every one of you to do for us.


Prepare a short (under 250 words) bio of your life. A group of past WHS journalists are creating a reunion yearbook. Even if you don’t plan to attend the reunion you will enjoy purchasing one to read about your fellow graduates. When it is finished, we will email everyone with a link where it can be purchased and shipped to your home. EMAIL it back to us at ReunionWHS74@gmail.com.


Send us some pictures. One or two of you and or your family (with you in it) so we can add it to the bio’s you will be submitting. Also, any fun pictures we might use for different parts of the Reunion Yearbook, be they current or old 1970’s vintage.


Feel free to write a story for us to consider publishing in the book about you, your friends, or your time at WHS. We hope to get some fun and politically correct ones to add to the book.


Pass this along to any graduate you know and asked them to email us their email address so we can add them to our mailing lists. We promise to keep all emails confidential and not do any not reunion or class related email blasts.

Happy Birthday Sandy, How are you? We are planning the 50th reunion for Sat., Oct. 5th. The group is putting together the reunion and when the details are confirmed, we will post it here on this site and the FB page, Westchester HS Class 1974 Houston, TX.
