After my folks got transferred to Illinois in '77 (thanks to Exxon) and I graduated from Southwest Texas (now known as Texas State University) in San Marcos in 1979, I decided to follow them up north. I have worked for Walgreen Co. since 1980 and love living in the Midwest, though I get down to Texas at least once a year to visit family and friends!
