RIP Mike. 😓David Beach Clarke, Jr.
Mike and I walked to school and ate lunch together for all the time we were in School #3, now the Bixby School of Fisher Avenue. Mike lived on North Avenue and I on Cyrpress Avenue and all the adventures we had on what seemed like a long and interesting walk to school on Palisade Avenue and then down Chestnut Avenue---actually only four blocks for him and two for me. Isn't it amazing how things we thought we just vast were really so small? For little people, the world is always big! It was terrific to see him again after 50 years at the reunion. He'd had a great career as a plumber and was still living in New Jersey, and I really enjoyed catching up and remembering our childhood. I am so sad for his family and send my condolences on the death of one of my earliest chums!

I met Mike when we were both sophomores in Bogota HS . He was a quiet person but was friendly. We would talk about things I'm general. We did have a bond on certain thingsI'm general. Lost contact with him got some time until we ran into each other at the Herotage Diner in Hackensack one night when I went in there for lunch in the early morning hours. I was working the 12to 8am shift at the Record at the time. That was in September of 1967
We talked for a while until it was time me to get back to work. After that we lost track of each other until the 50 th reunion
