Monika passed away on March 18th, 2014 from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).

Obituary for Monika E. Stegle

Monika E. Stegle, 68, of Bonita Springs, FL died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at North Collier Hospital. She had been a resident of Bonita Springs for the past 12 years, coming from Allendale, NJ. Monika was born February 25, 1946 in Germany, the daughter of Joseph and Auguste (Hohl) Klotz.

Since moving to Bonita Springs, she was a very active parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, where she was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Monika was also a member of the Sandpipers. She loved crocheting, needlepoint, arts and crafts, and making jewelry.

Monika is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Joseph G. Stegle; loving daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Petrosino of Montvale, NJ; brother, Peter (Terry) Klotz of Little Ferry, NJ; and cherished grandchildren, Jacqueline and Ava.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail So., Bonita Springs, FL 34134. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28290 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
