May 21, 1947 – August 22, 2020

KOPAC, Andrew Joseph, 73, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away peacefully on August 22, 2020 He was born in Hackensack, NJ on May 21, 1947.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 8 years, Nancy Gurney Kopac, whom he met when they were in first grade in Maywood, NJ.  They went through elementary, Jr. high and high school together. He reconnected with Nancy in 2002 at a Bogota High School reunion.  They were engaged from 2003 till 2012 when they married. Andy will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty and loving nature. 

Andy, a Vietnam War veteran, is survived by his wife, Nancy Gurney Kopac, his sister, Marie Kopac Eitner, his son, Andrew Joseph Kopac, Jr. and his granddaughter, Aria Brianne Kopac. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Spacek Kopac, his father Andrew Sebastian Kopac his brother, James Kopac and his son Jeffrey Kopac.

Viewing will be from 10 AM - 1 PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Trinka-Faustini Funeral Home at 439 Maywood Avenue, Maywood, NJ 07607.  Interment will be immediately after viewing at St. Mary's Cemetary, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663. ONly 15 people at a time will be allowed for the viewing. Masks are required.
