All my best wishes and condolences to Pete's loved ones. Pete was a charter member of the Walnut Ave. crew and the School #3 boy pack. Pete was famous, as some of you will remember, for his spot on impression of E. Roy Bixby (see Carl Levi's comment). I remember our group envy of Pete for being the most mature among us and the first to take many significant steps toward adulthood. Phil, if you are reading this, I send you special good wishes upon the passing of your life long best friend. I know that he will be with you always. No one with a family ever really dies.

One great guy.My thoughts and memories of Pete are as strong as those already posted by all of you who knew him.We met in grammar school when our 3 schools played football in various town lots.We became good friends at BHS,playing frosh football, then track, where he was our best shot putter. He was always down to earth and had that great sense of humor we'll never forget. And,of course ,a fine musician and singer. My prayers go out to Sharon and his family.I will never forget him and always miss him. Thanks to Nancy G.,I was able to re-kindle my memories of our past at her mini's. God bless Pete Wall.

I was so saddened to hear of Pete's passing as he was truly one of the legends of our class.  I was fortunate to have known him through our rival years of sports at #2 vs #3 and all through high school....great athlete, musician, fun loving, warm heart, and true friend.  I will never forget his great sense of humor, funny stories he would tell, and deep laugh.  You will truly be missed my friend and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

A tremendous and very sad loss... all our Prayers to Sharon and The Family.... this is a time just to reflect on how Blessed we all were in Bogota in Grade Schools #1,#2, and His #3, and to share our Teen Years with our Maywood Friends at BHS !  And Pete was a role model for Us, all of which are captured in the many sentiments above !! Yes, Bobby, Pete was a legendary and foundational member and faithful Friend to ALL of Us ! His talents were Everywhere.... Music with The Earls ..., in Band, In Choir, in Barbershopping Quartets, on a Track Field, On a Stage, in an After School Group, or just that Big Ole Bear Hug HE had for anyone that Crossed His Path !

Sharon, You were and ARE Truly Blessed to have Shared Your life with him... and the Good News is for You and the "Kids" ....that will go on forever... Pete is closer now than ever before... God Bless You , and PETE, Thank You for your Years of Friendship that will never be forgotten ...  RIP,  Chuck , BHS Class 0f 1965

It was with shock and sadness that I learned of Pete’s passing.  While I did not know Pete as well as some others did, I remember him as a talented, jovial and considerate fellow; in short one heck of a nice guy!  I had the pleasure of sitting with Pete and Sharon, and Phil and Suzanne at the 37th reunion.  With Pete and Phil at the same table, it was an entertaining and memorable evening.

My condolences to Sharon and the rest of Pete’s family.  Pete will surely be missed, but he left us all with many fond memories.

RIP Pete!

I am deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Pete. I met him the first day he attended our class in school #3. Like Carl, I still can see Pete up on the stage doing the Bixby impersonation. We could always rely on Pete to hit the ball onto the school roof, not an easy feat. We took trumpet lessons together with Mr. Dente. Pete had a natural talent for music. Pete was part of our youth that made growing up in Bogota so very enjoyable that when we try to explain what it was like to our children, we fail completely. It is difficult to grasp words that can express what our childhood was like.

Another memory.  I think of Pete literally every time I use a phrase I first heard from him way back, one I still use when trying to be more polite than usual:  "Son-E-Bits ! "   Thanks again, Pete, for all the laughs, all the music and much, much more.

Jerry and I, too, both are shocked and saddened by Pete's passing. He was indeed a friend to all of us. Jerry's memories of Pete go farther back than mine--back to grammar school days, where he also remembers Pete's spot-on impression of the principal, and he recalls, of course, playing football together at BHS.

Our prayers and condolences to Sharon and family for what must be such an overwhelming loss. We hope they--and his best friend Phil of so many years--find comfort in all the wonderful tributes above to Pete's special qualities and talents, his warmth, kindness, sense of humor, his musicianship, singing, athleticism, all of which have been described so well. We're grateful to Nancy Gurney for organizing the many minis as well as the 50th reunion--at which we had the opportunity to enjoy seeing him in recent years. RIP, dear friend.

Liz and Jerry
