DIX - Marion Alice, 94, of Hackensack departed this life on Saturday, August 5, 2006. Beloved longtime friend of Paul Taylor and Anthony Vitale of Maywood. She was a retired School Teacher of Bogota High School of 25 years and 10 years of Paramus High School where she taught Business Law and Typing. She received her BS Degree in Education from Ryder College, a Masters Degree of Arts and a Masters Degree of Science from Columbia University in New York in 1957. She retired from teaching in 1968. As her request cremation and then interment at Hackensack Cemetery on Thursday with a private ceremony. Arrangements by Vander Plaat Memorial Home, S-113 Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. MARION A. DIX, 94, of Hackensack died Saturday. Before retiring in 1968, she was a teacher at Bogota High School, where she worked for 25 years, and Paramus High School, where she worked for 10 years. She was a graduate of Ryder College and received two master's degrees from Columbia University. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

Marion was a great woman and teacher. She had an incredible sense of humor which left us speachless sometimes... and with our entire class and crew that was not an easy task.. It was great to know her.. Seems she lead and incredible long life and I am sure she enriched the life of all those who knew her. Rest In Peace.
