OBITUARY FOR

JOHN WAYNE BOWMAN

John Wayne Bowman of Ft. Myers, Florida passed away on December 17, 2017 at the age of 76 years.  John was born in Porterdale, Georgia on December 6, 1941.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Bowman Rogers, and brother, Jimmy Bowman.

John graduated from Newton County High school and Georgia State University and served honorably in the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed playing golf, reading and socializing with his many friends he made while doing volunteer work at his church.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joel Bowman and Jessie, of Lampasas, Texas and his sister and brother-in-law, Janie Stokes and Fred of Conyers, Georgia and several nieces.

A memorial service in his honor will be held in Ft. Myers, Florida at a later date in January, 2018.
