Mr. Ronald Fred Christian 43, of Quitman, died January 5,following a lengthy illness.

He was a native of Newton County and he attended Georgia Military College, and Georgia Southern College, and-received a master's degree in special' education at Valdosta State College. He taught school in Thomas County for twelve years and was a member of the First Baptist Church and Thomasville Noon Lions Club.
Graveside services were held January 5 at Laurel Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Milton C. Gardner Jr, officiating. The Kirkland Croy Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Christian was the son of Jessie Nell Thigpen arid the late Emory Fred Christian.
Surviving are his daughter, Jessica Rose Christian, Thomasville; mother, Mrs. E. F. Christian, Porterdale: brother, Mark E. Christian, Porterdale: two sisters, Carol C. Daniel, Porterdale and Linda C, Morris, Conyers: and one niece and one nephew.
