Sherlan Wilson of Covington passed away August 17, 2016, at the age of 74. She was a

founding member of Harvest Baptist Church, with services originating in her home. She

enjoyed antiquing, singing, crafting, sewing, and traveling, with one of her favorite

destinations being Daytona Beach. Mrs. Wilson loved her family and cherished the time

spent with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Hawkins;

and brother, Gary (Buddy) Hawkins.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene F. Wilson; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and

Claudia Wilson, Eric and Jacqueline Wilson, all of Covington; grandchildren, Nicole

Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Erika Armistead, Kristen Wilson;

mother, Thelma Hawkins of Covington; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and James Bunn

also of Covington.

A funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016, 11:00 AM, at

Harvest Baptist Church, 2075 Highway 212, Covington, GA, with Rev. Richard Culpepper

officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the

family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, Friday,

August 19, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
