My brother David Snodgrass and Hutch were classmates. But I met Hutch through 4-H. We really hit it off, and at 4-H camps we would sneak out after dark to be together. Hutch gave me my first kiss. He was funny, polite, and a bit of a rascal but never unkind. When I moved back to Oxford three years ago I was shocked to learn that Hutch was no longer with us.
Hutch was a great friend . We spent a lot of time together. zzi learned to candle eggs with Hutch and his Dad. Johnny Capes and Hutch and I went down to St. Simons for weekend after graduation. We all came home with peroxided hair! We were good-looking ,too!! Later in life I had the opportunity to see Hutch as I took care of his pets. When Hutch died I lost a good friend.
