Obituary

Ronnie Patterson, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2021, at the age of 78. Mr. Patterson proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years and was a member of Newton Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping in the North Georgia Mountains and the Tennessee Smokey Mountains as well as always wanting to try out new restaurants whenever he could. Mr. Patterson had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and his cat, Rascal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Patterson and Rosa Lee Bell.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Mobley Patterson; children, Jeff Bishop (Martha), Karen Price (Kevin), Leslie Brown (Ken); grandchildren, Ben Price, Mary Margaret Brown, Lindsay Price, Caleb Bishop, Olivia Brown, Macy Bishop, Caroline Brown, Sara Beth Bishop, Lydia Bishop, Josh Bishop; sister, Cathy (Payne) Randy; nephews, Andrew Payne (Jenna), Chad Payne (Amy)

A Funeral Service for Mr. Patterson will be held Friday, June 18, 2021, 11:00 A.M., Newton Baptist Church, 720 Jack Neely Road, in Covington, with Pastor Tony Howeth officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday, June 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.

Governor Brian Kemp’s latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.

Hello Linda,

I am so sorry to hear about Ronnie and my prayers will be with you and all your famliy.  I cherrish the memories from high school and always considered you a dear friend!  I hope your heart can heal quickly and you will be able to enjoy all the wonderful memories you and Ronnie shared!
