Gary,
Ask and you shall receive. I will start participating in the message form. You are doing a great job with the site. I showed it to one of my colleges today and she was impressed she said she was going to try to get someone to do one for her class. Hey, you might start a business See you Sun

Thanks Inez. I updated your photo and added Pee Wee to the slide show. If anyone can get me a current photo of anyone not on the slide show I sure would like to add them. I don't want to leave anyone out. See everyone Sunday!

Here's wishing everyone a good weekend. It was great to see the updates by PeeWee and Inez. Don't we have the best people from the class of '68?

I'll be thinking of you Sunday afternoon. If I can't be there, then I sure wish I could be a fly on the wall.

See everyone soon. God bless.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO EVERYONE!!!!!! It is terrible turning 58 but just think, we only have four more years until we can get SOCIAL SECURITY!!!!

Connie, I hate that you had a flat tire, but thanks for those good ole Oglethorpe boys to come by when we need them.

Gary, you have done a wonderful job with out site. The videos are great and I definitely want a video.

I greatly appreciate ALL the work that EVERYONE has done to make our reunion a success. See you on Sunday.

Our kids have made reservations for dinner Saturday night for our family to go celebrate lifes journey together and then they will be here Sunday also.I will try to send some updated photos of our celebration sometime next week. Looking forward to the reunion. Cyber hugs and God's blessings for all of you.

CONGRATULATIONS to Kathy and Rabun on 40 Years!! WOW!! May God bless you with at least another 40.
As I looked at information individuals have provided on the site, I see that Gail celebrated a birthday this week also. Happy Birthday Gail!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend (and ready to work at Sunday's meeting). I'm bringing all the classmate name tags that need assembling and I'm still missing some information on spouse names for their name tags. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!

Gail Gabriel (Wilbanks)

Hi Gary and everyone,

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Turning 58 is not something you want broadcast over the internet, but since we're among friends here and we're all 58 or close to it, it not's so bad. Happy anniversary to Kathy and Rabun and belated birthday wishes to everyone. Thanks to everyone who has helped with the reunion planning. I look forward to seeing you all and will be at the meeting on Sunday.

Hi gang. hope you all had a great weekend. I thought about you all today. I know you have been working hard on plans for our reunion and we certainly do appreciate what all of you have done.

As for Rabun and me, we had a fabulous celebration of our 40th anniversary with our family!! God is so good to us all the time and deserves all our praise.

Don,we will be praying for you on Tuesday and hope that all goes well. Please pray for Rabun as he has laser surgery on Tuesday at 9:45. He had bleeding into his retina in his left eye a couple weeks ago and had to have emergency surgery on it and has done well. They are doing his right eye as a preventative measure since the vessels in it are swollen also.

God's blessings to everyone.

Connie I wanted to thank you for having us in your home
yesterday. I can't tell all of you how great it was to
see you all. But I want to apologize to Alvin for not
recongnizing him. I hope we can be forgiven since I haven't seen him in forty years.
After being with you guys yesterday. This reunion is going to be a "hoot". Connie, thanks again for being the most gracious hostess.
Jim

Guys, sorry I missed the get-together Sunday. Our church had home coming and I forgot about the meeting. Looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion.

I would like to echo Jim’s comments on the planning meeting yesterday. I was there for the first time and had such a wonderful time!... well worth the drive from Marietta. It was indeed like being in a time warp… seeing so many wonderful smiling faces that I haven’t seen in 40 years. A real hugfest!!! I didn’t want to leave. And I too want to thank Connie for being such a wonderful hostess and opening up her home to all of us roudy youngsters. Thanks, Connie!!! I don’t see how the reunion in September can get much better, except that we’ll get to see a lot more of our former classmates. I look forward to it!

And one more thing… it is nice to hear from some fresh voices on our message forum… Inez, Kathy (congratulations again to you and Rabun), Gail and Benny. Welcome aboard… and keep it going! Hope we hear from even more of you out there. Have great week everyone!

Love & Hugs, Don

Hi Everyone,
It was so good to see everyone yesterday. Thank you again Connie. This reunion is going to be great. I can't wait to see everyone.
Congratulations to Kathy and Rabun. You sound very happy. We will also be praying for Rabun.
Hope everyone gets their order in soon for the T-Shirts.
OH! I also spoke to Dale Bishop and he is going to do the Elvis for us. He was very upset at whom ever let the cat out that he did that. I did not tell. We are going to have so much fun.
See you guys,
Inez

I am beside myself with glee! All this banter about the meeting yesterday (that I didn't get to come to, bah humbug), and the plans for the reunion is giving me an adrenaline rush. I just wish it would help me get these last stubborn 60 lbs. off, but I think that dream's dead. And what's this about Dale and Elvis? Now, that is a very clever way to spike interest for sure. I mean, you gotta show up just to find out what that's all about. Intriqing to say the least.

I just have to say I love everyone of you guys. I was telling Connie that I have fallen "deeply in friendship" with everyone all over again. To say I'm looking forward to this event is such an understatement. Dick too. We talk about it all the time. I truly mean it when I quote Philippians 1:3 and say, "I thank my God every time I remember you".

Thanks again to everyone for everything.

Sounds like you all have already been having a blast and makes me wish I could have been there to share the good times with you.

The tee shirt is a wonderful idea!

Gail Gabriel (Wilbanks)

Hi everyone,

I had a great time at the meeting yesterday. You guys are amazing, you have done an incredible job of putting this reunion together and I thank you.

To all of you who heard me propose to Dennis, I just want you to know I have reconsidered and he is off the hook. (Was that a sigh of relief I just heard from him?). Anyway, I have a great husband and I just can't give him up. So Dennis, thanks for the memories, you're a great catch. Girls, he's back up for grabs.

Love to you all,
Gail

I too enjoy the meeting Sunday. Connie the refreshmant was so good and I also thank you for having us over. Donald, the Banner is fabulous. It going to look great, just can't wait. Gary I like the name tags. You have done a great job.
What is this about Evis, He didn't graduate with us. Ha! ha! Is he really going to be there??? What time?

Connie Morgan (White)

It was GREAT to see so many "old" friends on Sunday. There were 22 of us here... (20 Class of '68 members and 2 spouses). WHAT FUN! .
Believe me when I say, it have been a JOY for me to have you here!!!!
I want to thank all of you who have driven a distance to come to a meeting, all of you who live near-by who have given up your Sunday afternoons to come to a meeting, and those who haven't been able to come, but who have been in touch and offered help and encouragement. I feel such a bond with, and love for y'all.. My OCHS years were such an important part of my life, and I am thankful for the opportunities I had there (many of which I would not have had at another school)....

I am amazed at the creativity and talent of so many of you! I definitely was not gifted in that area. I am excited about the Elvis preformance. Thanks Dale for agreeing. I'm also looking forward to hearing PeeWee sing again, as well as some of you other talented folks. As I looked back thru the yearbooks, I am reminded that I was never in a talent show... I wonder why??? HA.

I know you'll be reminded again, but please bring anything from high school that you could share to help in our stroll down memory lane.

Oh yes, Gail and Dennis - what proposal? I completely missed that on Sunday.

I'll hush now. Looking so forward to seeing you soon.
love,
connie

Wow! I never realized we had an Elvis among our classmates. Sounds like we are in for a treat and I'm certainly looking forward to all the performances.

I want to thank each of you for the time and effort you have made in the planning and all the work you have done. I know the reunion will be a great success. Just wish all our classmates could come.

God bless you all.

Tereesa Stevens (Minish)

Connie, thanks for all you have done to host us each Sunday (what will you fill your time with after the reunion). Everything has just been great at the meetings, food, talking and great friendship. Since, Dick was our President, I think he should have some opening remarks at the reunion (what do you think?). Also, do we know what time Dale wants to do his performance, we need to have a small schedule of events so we will get everything in---we do not want to miss a thing.

Is any one interested in a monthly or quarterly get together after the reunion. I know that the ladies from the class of 1967 get together about once a month and go to a movie, meet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I would like to get something like that started for the ones of us that are still in the same area. Let me know if you are interested and we will see what we can get started.

Thanks to EVERYONE for all that they have done to get this reunion up and going. EVERYONE has done a lot and I cannot mention names for fear of leaving someone out---but EVERYONE has just be great and we have so much talent in our class. SEE YOU ON THE 12th!!!! and 13th!!!!

Diane Harris (Moore)

Good morning everyone. Of those teachers listed, is it safe to assume that they have all been notified, or are there any whose location is unknown? I was just wondering. I figured if there are any whose whereabouts aren't known, maybe I could somehow help track them down. I feel so useless up here, but with a computer I can at least do a little sleuthing. I have a feeling though, that you've already done all that. It seems you guys haven't missed a single thing. I'm just desperate to help.

Tereesa, about Dick making some opening remarks like you mentioned. He will be happy to do anything he can, that I know. He has been gone so much, he hasn't written much on this forum, and I have dutifully scolded him for that, but his excitement about the reunion is exceeded only by mine.

Love and kind wishes for a great day to everyone.

Judy Stewart (Findley)

Hey Guys & Gals,
THREE WEEKS FROM TOMORROW. I am so excited. Tereesa, the quarterly celebrations sounds good to me. I could probably make most of those. Monthly would be difficult but I will come when possible. Thanks to all that have done so much to get this started & following through with all of the wonderful plans. Gotta go for now.
Love to all,
Judy

Diane Harris (Moore)

Tereesa, I agree with Judy about those periodic get togethers for us gals. I might even get lucky once and in awhile and be there to attend. And as far as other, larger reunions? Well, count us in to do our best, to do our duty, to be there! (Don't the Boy Scouts say something like that?)

Have a good and safe weekend everybody.

Wow...it wasn't until Judy pointed out that it is only three weeks from today that we will gather at the football game that I realized that, to reach my goal weight by the reunion I'll have to lose about 4 pounds a day every day for the next three weeks. Oh well, there is always the next time.

Please accept my apologies for having been consumed by work over the past few months and not posting more often. Diane has kept me posted on the action. A tremendous thanks to all who have participated in hte planning sessions (mini-reunions in their own right!)
As Diane mentioned I'll be happy to do anything for the reunion.

We can't wait to see each of you! Three weeks and counting! Diane and I have so many great memories of our friends and fun time at OCHS.

All the best to each of you!

Dick

I'm so glad to see pictures posted of those who have not previously posted any!!! Wow... only 3 weeks and we will get to see everyone in person. Have a great weekend everyone.

Elizabeth "PeeWee" Brooks (Fountain)

Hello Everyone!! I for one will be at the reunion even if it's on a stretcher!! My eyes are puffier, my chin is lower, my belly is bigger than my booty, you could read a map from the vericose veins in my legs to California and back, my arms keep waving hello or goodbye long after I stop, my knees are weak and I have a herniated disc in my back! What more can I say? We ALL need to be at this reunion cause time is NOT slowing down and gravity IS making a difference! I love everybody from my class and hope to see each one of you there. Our class meetings prove the point - we have had so much fun - if you miss this reunion - you will have missed a chance of a lifetime!!! Love, PeeWee Brooks
