At least 25 years ago or more, I don't even remember when it was, Jeri Goble, Nancy Hudson and myself went to a reunion of girls that attended Pound Junior High. Jackie Liebers was there. We were shocked to find her blind from complications due to diabetes. She seemed so upbeat and not bitter at all about her disability. We were so surprised that she "recognized" all of us by our voices and really got a chuckle out of the fact that she said none of us had aged at all because in her minds eye we still looked like we did in junior high school. I never saw her again and was sorry to read of her passing.
