Steve was a dear friend in high school and college and part of our “group.” We did all those things friends do-- cruise, talk, sing, dance, skip class, play cards, drink coffee, talk and sing some more. He majored in Art History at UNL, and ended up working in the Lincoln public library system after he graduated. He was an only child, and moved into his childhood home after his parents died. We grew apart after college graduation, going our separate ways. But I will always remember his zest, his smile, his birthday, and his friendship.
