William Hartley, 56, of Williams Twp., PA passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Easton Hospital.
Born: He was born October 26, 1953 in Wilson Boro, PA., a son of Ruth Hartley Boylan of Durham Twp., PA and the late William Hartley.
Personal: He was last employed as astock man for the Giant Food Store, Palmer Twp., PAuntil his illness.Prior to that he had worked as a part-time custodian for the Wilson Area School District, a maintenance man for the Milford New Jersey Mill of the Riegel Curtis Paper Corp. for about 30 years, and in his earlier life he worked at Berlou Mills.
He was a 1971 graduate of Wilson High School.
He was known as the outside handyman of the neighborhood.
Memberships: He was a lifetime member of the Order of Fleas, Concordia Maennerchor, and the Citizens Hose Company, all of Easton.
Survivors: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Bernard Boylan; two sisters, Barbara Einfalt and her husband, Bruce of Julian, PA and Patricia Hartley, at home. Also surviving is Barbara's dog,who he called niece, Annie.
