Roman Szmagala

Roman Szmagala, 56, of Wilson Borough, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 in VA Medical Center, Wilkes Barre.

Born: November 17, 1953, in Bolton, England, he was a son of Anna Ilczynczyn Szmagala, of Wilson Borough and the late Petro Szmagala.

Personal: He retired as a sergeant in the Air Force after 22 years.

Roman was last employed at the former Best Stores, Northampton Crossings.

He graduated from Wilson High School in 1971 and received an associate's degree while serving with the Air Force.

Roman enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his mountain bike.

Memberships: He was a member of Easton Fish and Game.

Survivors: in addition to his mother, Anna, he is survived by a brother, Walter, of Wilson Borough.
