I had gotten to the point where I told people I was going to die alone but without cats! But then, Nancy came into my life. When I taught on the Navajo Nation, Nancy's sister-in-law, Nelia, was my next-door neighbor. After moving back to Lincoln to help my mother take care of my father who was suffering from Alzheimer's, Nelia contacted me and told me to contact Nancy. So, I did. I wasn't expecting anything, but, within a month, I knew she was the one. Now, my life revolves around her. God has truly blessed me. My father died about two years ago and my mother died in October of 2016. Nancy and I moved into her townhouse next to Holmes Lake. I am semi-retired. I am a substitute teacher at LPS.

I am now retired. Because of the Pandemic, I had to give up substitute teaching. I have created an online ESL teaching business. I taught English to international students at UNL for nine years, so teaching English online to individuals seeking to study at an American university was a natural transition for me.
