John was always a nice friend. The world is better because of John's presence. He is missed.
John Andrews
I had very few friends at Irving and LSE. John was one of the very few friends I had. I remember going to his house to listen to music, especially the Doors. I am sad to hear of his passing.
Bob Hord
I was really sad to hear the news about John and his wife Kathy.
We had been in contact for the first time since LSE just recently and were trying to make the time for a reunion. It looks we ran out of time with this plan.
John was such a fun guy to hang out with. Back in our Irving days, we'd hangout in his Grannys basement and listen to the Beach Boys.
Rest in Peace Old Friend !

John Bunten was a true friend to so many people. He had no enemies that I know of. We kept in touch and he treated me as if I was his brother. He enriched the lives of many with his incredible character and the gift of laughter and humor! This loss pains me so, that I have yet to process it.
There will be a "gathering" of family and friends at the home of John's Step Mother, Paula Baldeschwiler, on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 1pm in Cheyenne, Wyoming to celebrate the life of John "The Duke" Bunten. All classmates are welcome to attend. Please RSVP with Paula @ 307-640-2600. I hope some of you can attend, especially those of you that live in and around the Front Range. Cheers to John!
