Fr. Rosner Xalxo, S.J.

Fr. Rosner Xalxo joined St. Xavier’s School, Hazaribag as an assistant Maths teacher and Treasurer in May 2015. For one and half years he was associated with the school closely. By the time he was appointed as the Principal in Jan 2017, he was well aware of the school campus, its activities, the teaching and non -teaching staff and the students and especially its goals and objectives.

Fr.Rosner comes from Mahuadaner, Latehar district, Jharkhand. His father was an Army man and mother was a government teacher. He had his Primary and Secondary Education in Convent school, Sale and Jesuit school, St. Joseph’s Mahuadaner. He  came to Hazaribag to join the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1986 after completing his Matriculation. Later he graduated in Maths from St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappalli (TN) in 1992-95 followed by M.Sc. in Maths from the same college in 1995-97.

From 1997, he served at St. Joseph’s School, Mahuadaner (Jharkhand Board) as an approved teacher for 12 years in and out. He did his B.Ed from Christ University, Bangalore in 2010-11. He was Vice Principal in St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro (ICSE Board) in 2011-15. From there he was transferred to St. Xavier’s School, Hazaribag (CBSE Board) where he continues as a principal now.

He is now just busy repairing the pitfalls in the campus like discipline, academic spirit, moral and Spiritual values, work culture, religious tolerance, etc. among the teachers, staff and students so that the inner beauty, the legacy of the St. Xavier’s School and its ‘Magis’ Spirit go beyond the boundaries. For this he expects co-operation from teachers, students, parents and urges from them their freedom and understanding with responsibilities in the “Holistic’ development of the ‘SCHOOL FAMILY’.
