The morning assembly offers a platform for the students to speak before a genial and receptive audience. It provides avenues to students to showcase their creative powers and share information on various topics of interest with others. Under the guidance of the class teachers students prepare for these assemblies on relevant themes. The seasons, religious festivals, national events, current affairs, well-known personalities, humour, etc. are the subject of these assemblies from time to time.  The inter-faith morning prayer teaches students to pray together and to respect the religious faiths of those who do not share their own traditions.

The assembly is also a time when the Principal and the Vice Principals interact with the students to enlighten them by speaking to them on values of life. Thus the school assembly at Xavier’s is an important part of the moral education.
