Meet The Punography Ltd. Directors

The Punography Ltd. Directors are comprised of ten of your RHS 1969 classmates or quasi-classmates, nine of whom are still living or at least do not appear to be dead. We are pretty sure that Ralph is still dead although none of us would be surprised were he to join this Punography website as a member. He's just that kind of funny guy. These ten individuals are:

1. Steve Gardner               6. Marshall Netherland

2. Kelley Haralson             7. Eddy Norton

3. Phil Huber                     8. Bill Scott

4. Steve Keene                  9. Ralph Stolow

5. Bill Moore                      10. Tommy Thomas

In order to avoid any confusion about who anyone is referring to with regard to those pairs who share the same first name (Steve Gardner and Steve Keene are the first pair, and Bill Moore and Bill Scott are the second pair), we will refer to each of these four Directors by their last name.

For example, if we wanted to be sure that we were referring to Steve Gardner rather than Steve Keene, then the following reference would be incorrect:

Steve picked his nose and then ate the booger.

The correct reference would be:

Keene picked his nose and then ate the booger.

Actually that was not a good example because we all know that Gardner does not pick his nose. Let's try another one.

Steve crossed his arms, lifted his hands up into his underarms for a full minute, and then brought his fingertips up to his nose to smell the aroma.

That is incorrect. The correct way to phrase this sentence so that it is unambigously clear which Steve is being referenced is the following:

Gardner crossed his arms, lifted his hands up into his underarms for a full minute, and then brought his fingertips up to his nose to smell the aroma.

You can see in this example that it was equally likely that the writer was referring to either Gardner or Keene so using the Director's last name makes it clear which Steve the writer was referring to.
