I remember David Bort fondly. He lived on the next street over from me. He was in my grammar school classes at Brooklyn School, and we continued to be in some classes through high school. When very young, he took my winter scarf and put it down the mail box. I didn't mind. He attended a birthday party of mine. We played "Scatter" when a bit older until dark and sometimes in the dark with flash lights. I remember he didn't seem to care too much for school, but he was very bright. Seems so sad to not be able to ever see him again.
