Jim was my first kiss (on the cheek in 4th grade), best man at my wedding and lifelong friend.  He was kind, gentle, funny and full of life.  Sadly missed by me and all who knew and loved him.

I did know Jim quite ell he lived in my neighborhood,or Ilived in his. The last time I spoke with him he told me he had been accepted at East Carolina University. As Jim was academically challenged, this was a relief and an accomplishment for Jimmy;we both were happy for the news.I expect Jimmy had a satisfying life with happy family and friend memories;in this way he was wealthy man.God bless you James Pastore

Jim was a great center blocking for Woody, Bosler, and Custy besides protecting Briggs.  During practice when the backs and linemen separated for skills practice, Jim always went with the backs. This miffed us because as linemen we were constantly firing out and beating each other up. Whereas Jim was just hiking the ball, hardly breaking a sweat.  There was never a fumble between center and quarterback and he got a football scholarship to Wake Forest.  So I guess he didn’t need the blocking and conditioning drills.  What few people knew was that Jim had one very dry but very very funny sense of humor, which we miss.

Glenn, you described Jim's sense of humor perfectly.  However, his football scholarship and degree were from East Carolina College, later to become East Carolina University.  He joked about being one of a very few guys in class who didn't have a southern accent, which made him a bit of a rock star with the girls.  May God rest this gentle man's soul.
