Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial

Opening in September of 2020, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial (https://eisenhowermemorial.gov/) is the newest memorial in Washington, DC.  The memorial is centrally located in Southwest DC across from the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum and in front of the U.S. Department of Education headquarters building.  Included in the memorial is this prominent Mercator world map.

The open space with sculptures is a nice addition, but I do feel the stainless steel mesh tapestry appears to block the windows in front of the Department of Education.
