On the drop-down menu pages under "Videos" we provide links to multi-media related to cartography, mapmaking, and map history.

Let me summarize video playing into two types: Youtube.com (which should play within the page by clicking on the link), and the rest, which may require downloading and playing on a dedicated player.  Our experience indicates that VLC Player (donation supported at www.videolan.org) plays almost every format of video, "VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols."

 The above applies to Windows as we have not worked with IOS.  We welcome comments and suggestions about IOS.
