4-13-20:  Today JC (the Elder) brings us an uplifting nostalgic video clip from a 1970 variety TV show that "Duke" hosted celebrating America's history.  Click pic to enlarge; here for the video.

As you'll see and hear in this short clip, he called on Americans to wake up each day with the patriotic thought, “This is my country and I’m gonna’ do good for it!”  He then noted that he would say tomorrow what he says every day, “God bless America!”

12-7-19:  Catching up on this year's highlights for '62 and Prep.

Yes as you see in the "Announcement" below, Stu and Brian are still playing down in Florida now.  But back in October they traveled back to NJ to join Frank and Bob to be inducted into Prep's Hall of Fame! 

It was another glorious evening (fittingly with Fr. Joe as Master of Ceremonies) adding another milestone to the illustrious history of the Class of '62.

3-18-19:  Two of the future '62 Hall of Famers, still standing, and now playing for the U of Miami 'Canes! Playing together for the first time in 56 years, they won the 3 on 3 Tournament, wearing their Prep Jerseys. Click pic for more pics.

3-11-19:  2019 is a monumental, sometimes magical, celebratory 75th year milestone for most of us. And yes, it’s also filled with both joy and heartache. So it’s been suggested that we lighten and brighten the spirit of the website with some humor from and for our buddies.

9-15-18:  Long-time Dallas resident, but life-long Giants fan, our buddy Cleary, known for his legendary "Cleary Corporate Connections" will be viewing the game tomorrow from a Dallas Cowboy Skybox.

Of course, he'll be surreptitiously rooting for Big Blue. We imagine that he's probably hoping to retire back to the "Garden State" and Kensington Ave. to enjoy his "Golden Years" back in the "Big City".

3-23-18:  A poignant but uplifting funeral Mass for Bill was celebrated today in Lambertville by our Alumni Chaplain, Fr. Tony Azzarto. 3-18-18:  The distinguished older member of the Tipsy Rovers gets to celebrate his 73rd today! His '61 JJ continues to report on St. Patrick's Day stories.

They include stories about the famous visiting Irish playwright who celebrated in JC rather than NYC; Mayor Grogan raising the Irish flag at the Hoboken City Hall; the Marching, Chowder and Hurling Society event; the opening of the golf season at Lincoln Park; and finally an admonition to "wear your rubbers". 3-17-18:  Our esteemed Class Chair celebrates 74 today and which makes him a lot older than "The Grapefruit" as you'll learn in his birthday JJ. Not surprisingly, his '61 paper is filled with mouthwatering Irish recipes along with stories about the JC "Checker Champion", Sister Mary Joan and an invitation to escape a lonely evening at the "Bluebird Ballroom". 3-16-18:  Boisterous fans of the Tipsy Rovers and '62 gathered once again at the legendary Riverside Inn for the annual pre-St. Patrick's Day bash. Once again the Rovers were showered with unrestrained adulation, showed off their musical mastery and just continue to add to their "Tipsy Legend".

3-11-18:  It's 64 degrees in Dallas and our "Greatest Golfer" is undoubtedly out on the course on his way to shooting a 73 on his 74th.....and it wouldn't be the first time he's shot under his age! He has just become the first winner of the SPP '62 Pulitzer Prize in History, the '62 National Book Award and the '62 Nobel Prize in Literature for his magnificent work in authoring two recent and highly acclaimed books on the fascinating history of Tuxedo Park, NY.

2-3-18:  Bill Torpey, '65 (brother of our Gene) and newest distinguished "Guest Member" of '62 celebrates a milestone birthday today, and unlike us he can now brag that he's 70-something for the next 10 years! Back in '65 he was a male model for Bond's as you'll see in an ad in his birthday JJ.

1-18-18: Bill is our only Hoya who also acquired a Ph.D. in Classical Philology from Harvard, and "young" Bill is only LXXIII today! While Al Einstein had learned integral and differential calculus on his own before he was 15 years old, research shows that he only received a C- in Classical Philology and never read the Jersey Journal. Our goal is $175,000 for a full scholarship. Today Jack Kelly informs us that pledges to Prep over 5 years and cash amounts to $126,741. Current cash-in amounts to $51,129 (approx.)Thus far 57 Classmates and 3 friends of '62 have contributed.

6/3/13:  Class of '62 extends a gracious welcome to the Class of '55, and two of our new "Guests" represented by Prep Legend, Ray Aumack and (future Prep Legend?), Joe Haviland.

Ray is the '55 Class Chair and member of the Prep Spirituality Committee.  He and Joe (the Class tech guru) are intrigued with our website, and so we have invited them to peruse all the events and ideas we've been putting together.
