On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Village at Apache Wells Homeowners Association unanimously voted to levy a special assessment of $100 per unit.  This one-time assessment is necessary to cover an unexpected budget shortfall resulting from a steeper-than-expected increase in insurance premiums.  Specifically:

·         Due to the extensive insurance claim that resulted in all shingled roofs being replaced, the board anticipated a 60% increase in our monthly insurance premium. 

·         When the policy was renewed this month, the monthly premium was actually 80% higher than last year leaving the HOA with a $17,000 shortfall.

·         $17,000 / 170 units = $100 per homeowner

This special assessment payment is due by June 1, 2024. Please send or deliver a check for $100 (payable to “VAW HOA” in U.S. funds) to:
