VAW Activities & Special Events

The Village at Apache Wells Social Committee along with various individuals, host community events throughout the year. Most events are scheduled regularly between November and March.

M-F at 8:30am: Coffee in the Clubhouse; Bring Quarters and a Coffee Cup
Daily at 9:30am: Water Aerobics; North Pool; contact Amy Jorgenson
Saturday’s at 8:30am: Coffee & Rolls in the Clubhouse; Bring $2.00
Monday’s at 9:30am: Dominos in the Clubhouse
Monday’s at 6:30pm: Cribbage in the Clubhouse; Contact Sue Nielsen, Pat Peck, or Don Schmidt if questions
M-W-F at 2:00pm: Chair Aerobics in the Clubhouse; Hosted by Connie Anderson & Joan Kilgore
Tuesday’s at 10:30am: Knitting Club in the Clubhouse
Tuesday’s at 1:00pm: Golf (9 holes) at Sunland East; Contact Sue or Jim Nielsen
Wednesday at 10:00am: Golf (18 holes) at Golden Hills: Contact Neil or Terry Campbell
Thursday’s at 9:00am: Pool Upstairs of the Clubhouse: $1
Thursday’s at 9:00am: Ladies Bridge in the Clubhouse; Sign up is in the clubhouse ($.50)
Thursday’s at:30pm: Men’s Bridge in the Clubhouse; Sign up in the clubhouse ($1.00)

Special Events During the Winter Season

One of our resident’s hosts alcohol ink classes monthly
We have Thanksgiving potluck in November
We have Christmas Tea in Mid-December
We have a Christmas potluck
In late January we have a Spuds and Splits event
In early March we host a Usery Park hike and picnic
In mid-February we host a Champagne Brunch
On St. Patrick’s Day we have a golf cart parade and potluck
In late March we host an End of Season Party
